I've seen pics of one, but never any info on how it was done. Is there any more info out there on what all it takes? I'm wondering if the TB/Envoy SUV mounts could be used? Wiring? etc.

so far, no one seems to have truly done it. Mikezq8ss has spent extensive time researching it, and no one's done it, except gm, for the ss, and a few other concepts. Seems like the word from them is fabricated motormounts, standard lsx wiring harness and pcm, custom exhaust. Sounds like a standard transplant, except one thing. GM supposedly used special custom tubular upper control arms on the front end. Me and mike have yet to find out why, and where to get them. He really wants to do an lsx swap, and we don't doubt at all that we could get it in there, it's just the new emissions laws in ct, and the fact that it's my father's garage we'd be doing it in. I'd say, go for it, you know you can get it to pass a sniffer, but it all depends on how emissions programs in your area work. around here all it is, is an obd II scan, and you're on your way. ( 1996 vehicles and up) no sniffer, no nothing, just a visual cat inspection. Problem is, you have a pcm in the truck, that doesn't belong there. around here they've gotten so stiff on emissions, the tech has to do a retinal scan for each test. talk about cia type stuff. there's like 5 cameras on the car at all times, and everything. ( CT had a real problem with their emissinos program being crooked and a waste of time) Now, any obdII scanner, should read any obdII computer by gm, and not have a problem. So in my opinion, it can, and should be attempted and successfully completed for one sickin f-in collorado. But mike's a lil girl and won't do it. :supergay:

It's the second to last post. The guy wasn't very.... helpful... when it comes to saying what he did to make things work.

I seen that truck. He did not use factory gauges or anything when it was all done though.
