OK, what are ya running, advantages/disadvantages. Post up some pics if ya got 'em. Some of you guys even have the AM hoods with functional ram air and all built in, lets see 'em as well.

I'm using a Airaid MIT that replaces the Hemi Hat and made a Ram-Air set up with a scoop mounted in the lower valance.

Wow, short post! guess no body wants to compete with your class act Ram4Pick!
My Intake is in it's third generation and I had hopes of manufactuing it but the price of production molds are prohibitive! so I guess I will take pics and post them but given the weather conditions here that may be a while....

Here are some pics of my intake in it's second generation, this intake lowered the temps at my AIT sensor by over 25 degrees!!! I really do not think that this intake was that so much more efficient that the stock one but the lower temps made the difference...

Your setup looks like a very elegant solution for fresh air, Have you taken a reading off of your AIT to see what your temps are? I would be curious for one..

I just wanted something clean and simple. No, I haven't taken an IAT reading with a scanner of any kind but I have used an infrared heat gun we have at work to take temp readings. We use the heat gun to check the air temp from a fan, of steam trap temps, etc.. One night I drove home and it was 62* outside according to my overhead readout. I popped the hood the took the temp of the airbox (outside and inside). The outer portion of the airbox next to the fender was the same 62* as was the inside of the airbox, the side of the airbox next to the engine was slightly warmer do the the engine heat. So overall, I think it does a good job of getting cool air to the engine.

Oh, Looks like we Hijacked your thread RumbleBeeRam, The disadvantages to my Homemade HomeDepot Intake are: It looks Getto, FAR more frequent cleaning of the Filter, took a lot of time and effort to get it to where it is now... still need to post those pix...
Advantages, Cheap ( if you do not include all the developement time and excess material ), it is worth about 3 tenths off of my 1/4 mile ( probably due to the lower air temps ), oh and it sounds great as well!

Yes there is a filter, it is a cone and if you look at the last pic, inside the large tube there sits the filter. This filter was carried by a company that went out of business and I do not know who makes the filter but I need to find out. It looks like a K&N but is not oiled and has a different filter media. While I do not have flow charts on the filters I do feel that this filter outflows the oil type, of which I have several that are larger. I am thinking that my truck would not perform as well as it does if it did not flow better than the oil type. My present filter is about 5 3/4 inches at the largest point so it is a fair amount smaller than all my other filters.
