View Full Version : 2500HD 4x4 biggest tires/wheels blkbeaZ28 08-04-2005, 10:32 PM What is the biggest tire/wheel combo I can stuff under fenders at stock height and possibly with 3" body lift Thanks Gilbert black4x4 08-05-2005, 12:47 AM depends on if your willing to trim any crank the bars or stuff like that. for sure a 285 on about any wheel and i have heard of 305s and 315s fitting on stock wheels. for example i have between 7-8" of lift on my halfton and i run 36x14.5 tires with no rub anywhere but i do have quit a bit of cutting done DanaliHD 08-05-2005, 06:51 AM i think 287/75/16 on stock rims looks good. I have 295/75 now and don't like them. they are too wide for the rims. blkbeaZ28 08-05-2005, 07:00 AM I am not opposed to different wheels. I just want a beefier look and don't see a suspension lift anytime soon. Gilbert blkbeaZ28 08-07-2005, 09:21 AM I guess the question that I really have is can I fit 33's on my 2500HD 4x4 without any issues? Gilbert facn8me 08-07-2005, 11:06 AM yes you can. redneck01z71 08-11-2005, 08:00 AM for a 3/4 ton, you can fit 305 on stock rims. with a b/l, you could probably fit 35's. blkbeaZ28 08-11-2005, 07:09 PM I went with 285/75/16s Nitto Terra grapplers and they rub a little bit on a 16x8 wheel. BLACKHD01 08-14-2005, 09:46 AM I went with 285/75/16s Nitto Terra grapplers and they rub a little bit on a 16x8 wheel. I am going to do that same combo this week. How do thy look? Any pics? blkbeaZ28 08-14-2005, 09:50 AM Here are a couple. They did rub a little bit, just had to do some trimming of the front air dam. I will post some pics tommorrow. NoChrome 09-04-2005, 02:53 AM Here are a couple. Hope so, it looks real good. :hail: 04BlackGmc 10-24-2005, 11:11 PM 305 seems to be it, now there is a set of brothers on gmfullsize.com that run 35's, with cranked keys. NoChrome 10-25-2005, 05:03 AM Seriously? Know their names, I thought it took 6in to fit 35's? 04BlackGmc 10-25-2005, 11:06 AM Twotone and someone else.. Both duramax's BLK6.0HD 11-01-2005, 04:00 PM Here is mine before doing the straight axle. This is with cranked keys and alittle trimming in the back of the wheel well. I was running 36x14.5-16.5 radial tsl's. If i would have put on a bodylift, it would of cleared these with no trimming. http://img157.imageshack.us/img157/6498/picture0548cm.jpg (http://imageshack.us) jtss 11-01-2005, 09:36 PM heres mine with 315's with minor trimming and full crank. http://home.comcast.net/~josephtracy/index/315passbig.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~josephtracy/index/315frontbig.JPG |
