That sounds awsome. I really just wish the Dmax wasn't $10K more than the cummins.

I looked at a few CC one ton 4x4 LS Dmaxes and found then for about $45-46K nicely loaded. The Cummins with simular options was only $36-38K.
I still like the Dmax more, but man is it more expensive. I guess you pay for quality. LOL

When dodge gets a real crew cab, I am sure the prices will be closer. There quad cab is priced about like Chevy and Ford Extended cabs.

I can't wait to see what ford and dodge's answer will be. The diesel hp wars have been pretty strong lately. We might see 400+hp and 700+tq with factory backed warranties before to long :hail:

I had an 03 6.0L powestroke that went 8.80 in the 1/8 with just a edge juice, while the truck was fast it was great then all these problems started popping up. I removed the box drove it for a while tranny started slipping, pushing through the brakes, engine would not idle. Fors would not stand behind there product, tried to get me to admit I had a box on it, nope no falling for that one, tried to void my warranty because of a pillar 3 gauge pod and kn filter. End up trading it in for my 03 chevy cc. Ford needs to work all their problems out on the 6.0L before they start strapping twin turbos on a motor. And while they are at it why don't they revamp that sick ass 5.4 they put in the f150, that motor is a joke.

The upcomiong Toyota diesel is supposed to be putting out 500hp and 700ft-lb of torque. I think that is going to be in 2007.

No link. Apparently it was in a Car and Driver snippet. This is according to the TDR guys. I don't subscribe to the magazine so I can't verify that. Nissan is supposed to release a diesel in the titan (or something similar) in 2007 but that's just rumor at this point.

I just bought my 2006 Duramax. WOW. That outta just about sum it up. I looked at Dodge and Ford both, but I must say that I am most certainly GM biased. Just to let everyone know, the Chevy loaded out was only $1000 more than Dodge. I got mine for just over $40K w/ttl. My new truck is a 2006, 2x4, 4 door, dually, LT trim.

I love my new Duramax. It's just a pullin beast, but this is my baby. 97 C1500 SWB w/its future LS6 and way too many other goodies to list here.

yeah, i also heard that ford is coming out with an engine with twin turbos, but who cares the duramaxes will always ride and look better and chevy will come back at eventually with something better, just give them time..
