I have serious been thinking about buying a cam for my truck but I do not understand cam talk at all, I try to read as much as possible on here but I am still on the undecided.... Can ya'll help me choose a cam for my truck.... I am looking for something drivable and that has a some lope to it.. also I would like a cam the works good with the stock converter and that will work better with a TB converter in the near future... does this make any sense??
appreciate ya'lls help....

I think you should buy mine :jest: . Seriously. It is a great daily driver, works good with the factory converter, but would probably be better with the TB converter. Its 206/212 .515/.525 112 +4

I have a vette cam too, the lsa is too far apart on it though, so your power band would really move up in the rpm range. Also, its not much more agressive than the one in your truck, so the loss down may not be made up up top.
I did change my springs, but I really dont think it was necessary. I found the stock specs for the factory springs, and when you do the conversion from metric to american they can handle the .525 lift. And they would be quieter too probably.

Hey white-it is good that you changed your springs--lift isnt the only factor--RPM is where a spring change really shines!I am trying to figure out a cam for my truck too and it is the most difficult decision. Now I know why they came out with variable valve timing. The ford guys are going to have an advantage in that department.
