I upgraded my alternator to a 200 amp Excessive Amperage alt. My battery light comes on and off in the message center. I was told this is a common problem with 99's and a resistor or diode was needed to fix the problem, but can't seem to find the fix. I was also told that a pcm programmer can fix the problem. Any input?

Yes a tuner can fix it. At the same time you should upgrade the pcm to a 02 PCM. 99's & 00's had crappy PCM's with false knock issues. Talk to Allen Nelson or one of the other tuners on the site.
