Well I'm considering a jump back to Dodge despite the fact my Dakota was a pile. I'm interested in a 2wd 3/4 ton. I just don't go anywhere that I'd need 4x4. In any event, after reading here and a couple of other forums, it seems like there isn't a whole lot out there for the common rails like the older Cummins. The one I'm looking at is an auto and based upon some advice here and there the converter would be the first mod.

My dad has the full Banks kit in his 02 (6-spd) and it runs pretty hard. How does Banks stack up to the other stuff out there? I'd be happy with just running 13s with one. I've also heard that the dealer can now read the program modules that have been installed with a logging feature and wondered if that is true. I'd have to wait until the warranty runs out or something in that case.

I'm in Houston.
