I plan on getting tuned by wait4me performance. I have a k&n intake, edelbrock shorties, and a magnaflow muffler swapped in. What other bolt-ons that would improve performance and also require tuning should i do before i get my tune?

that would be a good start

and if you ever happened to add somethin else, you could give jesse a call and find out if another tune would be worth it since ya get free retunes

would adding a 160* stat allow him to run more aggressive timing for more performance?

I think he prefers to tune to 180 or 190 whatever stock is, but dont hold me to that

You could have him activate the e-fans circuits and cancel the rear O2 sensors so you could do those mods later ;)

What is the advantage of turning the rear 02 sensors off?

Yes the tune needs to compensate for the nitrous. Timing has to pulled or your engine will go BOOOM!!! The advantage of having the rear O2s is that if oyu take the cats off you wont get an SES light.

Righto. I wont quote you, i'll quote him over the phone to me when I asked about installing a 160 stat "Sure, you can do it, cooler running will be better but I do all my tunes for 180"

I already have my SLP stat but I am not going to install it. Theres gains to be had if its tuned for it, I think, but its minimial and I want engine life. If anything, I am going to install a 180 since I can get by without a PCM update on that stat.

I dont know that any other "bolt ons" other than the BIG bolt ons like a blower or nitrous, would require tuning. Its my understanding that he does not up the line pressure and such so that there is no need for a retune after installing a shift kit (returning pressur back to stock). I think your golden as is.

My mods are volant CAI and exhaust, I am sending mine in with a note in the box that states what I have, that I want balls out performance without riding on the edge of breaking the rig everyday, 91 octane, removed top speed limiter, and otherwise - Do your thing Jesse. Leaving it in his hands. With lifetime free updates and support, I aint too concerned. Especially after talking with him.
