:( It's being worked on. The servers are actually pretty damn fast but, there is a software/database shortcoming with VBB that would probably kill the fastest servers when it rears up. :bang:

Any update on speeding up the server. I was going to reply to a post and type a long azz reply and it said server too busy when I hit the back button my reply was gone its kind of anying but I realize ya'll are still working out all the kinks.

It's really just a limitation in the software that kills the server. Brains has been looking into fixing it for a while but, there is no easy solution. Throwing more server at it won't do much, the server we're on is pretty damn stout as is. :(

One tip I always recommend after typing a long reply is this. Once done with your reply highlight the entire thing and hit Control-C(Copy). That will copy the text to the clipboard. That way it will be on your computer if something bad happens and all you have to do to recover it is hit Control-V(Paste). That has saved me from retyping a big reply several times over the years. :)

I usually just refresh, click retry when that pops up, until it posts

I've had alot of trouble with this and get the server busy many times now.

I was just about to post about this let me guess both sites are on the same server also. Have you thought about seperating them.

I get the "Server too busy" even when I try to open up the forum. It happens at least once in ever thread I try to read lately. Hope it gets better.

one positive thing from the "server busy" messages..is that it just goes to show how many ppl are getting on here and either posting or at least reading.

However, to upgrade this server or whatever it is to make it work better (since i have NO idea what im talking about, lol), if this all costs money... maybe there should be a small one time fee to get this up and going better... hell, one dollar from everyone might be enough...

Its not a money issue. Our server is more than capable of handling this site and ls1tech. Its a software issue, as VBB isn't designed to handle this much traffic easily. Unfortunately, VBB is the best software available right now. So, the slow software makes it appear that the server has problems.

Good, cuz I'm geting tired of waiting for pages to load, getting "server busy" or geting "waiting on perfomancetruck.com" crap at the bottom of my browser. Let get this fixed :judge: :judge: :)

The new server has arrived :headbang: Now its going to take a while for configuration, so be prepared for some funky ups and downs. I'm going to need a half hour or so of downtime to move data around, but I'll try to do that in an "off" period as to least affect everyone.
