Would that be asking for detonation... or would 89 oct be high enough... The reason is we have our own gas tank/pump and we buy 89 off the truck for about $.15 to $.20 cheaper a gallon than normal... so having to jump up to 93 means like a $.30 jump..... thats a lot

I would not suggest it......We tune these trucks on 91, although there is some room for error I would not suggest anything but the highest rated pump gas you can get.
.30x27 = 8.10 on a fill up....I see your point, but I would not chance it.

$8.10 a fill up.....$2k for a new motor....almost 5k for a Radix...So why worry about that $8 a fill up???

You could probably do it if you do a custom tune and cut back the timing. But like Brian said, it's probably a good idea to run the best gas you can get.
ya.. 91 is our highest.. its AWESOME. :eyes:

Turning back the timing and Killing performance just to save 8.00 a tank ? :judge: I DON'T THINK SO!
