I'm glad they are giving it a year before they really enforce it. We checked my tint at work the other day, it metered at a whopping 12.4 percent :eek2:
So far we havent been able to pass any vehicle that has come through the shop. Be warned, if you layed 35 percent over your factory glass, you will NOT pass :(

I think the new tint law sux ass. I want to get my front two windows tinted but i really hate to spend the money on something that is barely darker than the clear glass.

A buddy of mine works at a dodge dealership and said that unless u have 50 percent tint u will fail the test. I think this is bs considering they tell us 35 is legal

My thoughts exactly. For a small fee of $135, I was informed by a Texas State trooper that my windows were at a whopping 4% and the speed limit was NOT 80mph!!! :) Good thing he couldnt check the back glass, It should be somewhere around 2 1/2%

Alabama is the same way.. I had 5% on my windows and it metered like 3.4% lol.. I didnt have the money at the time so I took it off.. but once i get a good job.. Ill just pay it.. Ive got a buddy who gets a tint ticket like 4 times a year because his front window is tinted and he just pays for it..
