We are still looking for some mod positions to be filled. Why doesn't everyone post up why they would make a good mod and list what forum you'd want to mod. I won't guarantee anyone a position just for posting here but, it wouldn't hurt. :D

I would make a good Mod because I"m always online, have a decent amount of knowledge both performance and appearance wise (maybe not as much as some, but I've been around awhile) I'm not too much on one side or the other, so there's no favortism shown from me. ummm, I think that's all, but I doubt I'll get a spot due to my past headbutts with some folks. :)
Does having over 4500 posts help? :jest:

I'd like to throw my name in the hat. I dont post as much as some people but im allways on here :lurk: at home and at work. I consider myself a very open minded person that doesnt jump to taking sides when there is a problem, I tend to look at the situation from different views. I also consider myself a truckaholic, just ask my wife, she will tell you :jest: I appreciate all types of vehicles regardless or brand and I tend to get along well with a wide variety or personalities. Those that have dealt with me know I am a fair and honest person. I think I would like being the mod for the southern section, but you can place me anywhere you want if you choose to make me one :)

I am afraid my opinion will not be unbiased, get real in to the habit of banning people,
having the power to close a post is just too much for me, and the last joke I posted was unacceptable, but it was funny.

I think Lance would be good in the Ford section, you tratior :P. Just my .02 cents.
For myself, I have a general idea of why this site was created, The first thing I said to people that didnt like this site is one: give it some time & get used to it ...and two: This is a great opporunity for us to hook up with sponsers that are directed towards TRUCKS. We were overlooked sometimes and sometimes the truck sponsers were overlooked amongst the hustle and bustle of a Ls1 forum instead of a Truck forum... and also, the more sponsers, the more chances for us to get things at a great buy, the more chances for new markets to open up for new products, and now since ls1tech has already made a name for itself, this site will bring that mentality and repuatation as well so sponsers know that this is a good place to put their money into . I just wanted to throw out there my understanding of why this site was created.
But also, I am on the computer A LOT more since I started posting a few months ago in May. It started out as my girlfriend creating a name.. but she gets mad now bc im on the computer all the time. All i talk about in my everyday life is truck related and ls1 related things... Im deemed as being obsessed with this forum and my truck :P but who isnt. I have a lot of hands on experience and a lot of know how that I have aquired over the years. And in the short 3 months that I have been posting on ls1tech, I have learned SO much more. I try to help people out with a lot of their questions whenever they have them and give them suggestions. I'm not here to start pissing matches with other makes/models, I'm here to learn and help others with their problems and congradulate when they accomplish one of their goals.
I would like to be a mod, I dont really mind where. The southern section needs someone to look after it. I would help out wherever needed.
And I think 01thunder, Illnali, and Golden will all make good mods as well. They are online probably more than I am :)

I feel, I can help in this area quite well.
cant tell you how much it worries me to purchase something from someone that I dont really know..
I would like to try and make it easier for me, and everyone else on this site, to make transactions, amongst fellow truck owners...
possibly making a list as was suggested before the move to the new site, of good and bad sellers...
just 1 of the few things I would like to help on, and contribute to the over all wellness of the new site. :D :)

I'd take any section you gave me, but i definatly have experiance in the stereo and bodywork/appearance aspects. I've done both for aliving. I'd also volunteer for the any of the classified sections as well as the eastern regional section. I'd also l ike to say. maybe we should divide eastern into new england, and southeastern.... as the section are totally divided. I am glad you brought this up into open discussion. Why would I have to 'dump' LS2 first? There are already a couple guys with dual modship between the sites. Infact, this isn't really LS1Tech at all, it is just affiliated with it. Anyway, I will not decline my mod status there just to be one here. I do like the new site and will continue to come here to help, get help and socialize with my fellow truckers, so, if I am asked to be a mod here I will gladly accept. I would like to be considered for the stereo & electronics section I think I could be of great help there. I have been installing car audio systems on the side and for my main source of income for about 4 years and I try and stay on top of the new trends that are happening in the car electronics business. I have never been a moderator on any other site but I learn fast and know what has to be done to keep this a site that people will continue to visit. As you can see by my activity on the site for the last couple of months I am on here all the time. With my new job I am able to check this site quiet often and could be a valuable asset to the site. I am probably one of the younger guys on the site but I beleive I could help out pretty well. This site will really be awesome once all the other brand drivers find it. Oh yeah Ill throw my vote in there for 01thunder and velvet.

I don't mind posting my answer since Zed asked.
Zed, I never said LS2.com was on my "shit list", so to speak. Its just that we discuss some very private and business related topics in our Staff forums, and would prefer to minimize the open accounts linked between similar websites. Just a simple business plan, and I'm sure you could appreciate that yourself. I've known Patman and Chef personally for several years now, so we have built that trust enough to have them moderate on both sites. So yes, there are sometimes exceptions to the rule.
As for our view on LS2.com, nothing wrong there between us. We both hate LS1.com, so we should get along just fine :D

I would be game for moderating the Western section.
I have been in the LSX game since early 2000

I have also owned both a Ford (Notch) and a Dodge in the past year (SRT-4 for the women) so I tend to play nice with all vehicle makes.

Just kidding BTW, Brandin's the man, and since he doesn't do any actual work, he'd make a great moderator. :D

I thought my car smelled funny. Hey thanks for proving my point about the truck moderators, fellas. :usa:
You should post as a moderator requirement: Must not play well with others...

I would be game for moderating the Western section.
I have been in the LSX game since early 2000
I have owned 5 LSX based cars and trucks(SS,3 Silverados, vette)
I currently own a 2005 cc/sb 5.3 1500 and a 2004 C5 coupe
I have also owned both a Ford (Notch) and a Dodge in the past year (SRT-4 for the women) so I tend to play nice with all vehicle makes.
I am actively involved in the performance aftermarket arena and love what I do. :hump: ;)
Lastly,
If I don't make it to moderator status all of my friends will make fun of me something feirce!!!(Oxidizer,Titan,Xp3nd4bl3,BlownChevy,More grip) :turd:
I like to POOP!

I like knowing that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. :)
Business discussions take place in the staff forums of all commercial sites. Just like you guys we pick our moderators based on what all other moderators think of them. They are all well respected and their integrity is unquestionable.
You can correct me if I am wrong, but I don't remember LS2.com and LS1Tech.com ever being in any sort of a competition or rivalry. Neither site has done anything to unercut the other one. So as far as I am concerned we are all coexisting in peace and harmony.
To question and mistrust the integrity and secrecy of a person just because they are a moderator on LS2.com is a slap in the face of that person. What is done is done, but I was not happy to lose jrp as a mod. And I will also say this, I have never known anyone more trustworthy and with such high integreity as jrp. I am just hoping that in the time he has been a moderator at LS1Tech that you have also seen the same quality in him as I did. I really was not necessary for him to make a choice between the 2 sites.

vote for pedro :P
im not wanting a position, but i just figured i would throw this in. we have lots of texas guys, mostly in the houston, austin and san antonio area. im sure there will be lots more once dodge and ford starts coming in. i vote for a texas mod that is willing to organize and attend more G2G's and cruises. the last cruise with the ls1tech cars was pretty fun even though the cops busted it up pretty quick.
ill throw my vote in for one04fx4, 01thunder, crewcabondubs or anyone else from houston else up to the job :) 01thunder sounds like he has some good ideas for the classifieds.

I could handle the texas section and g2g's I use to organize a few meets for the cobra guys and have even had mod partys at my house. Now I have a shop with a lift and tools so even more mods can be done. I also wouldnt mind making a monthly g2g down in H-town either at maybe the hootoers on 45 and 1960 on the north side.
I love my Texas what can I say :)

I also have experience with trucks other than gm's. I helped mod my friends L with pulley and intake. I still have a 03 cobra so I"m familiar with modular motors. My gf drives a dodge so of course I've done lots of work to that :jest:

Ranwalk and BigKID. Oh yea, Slowprocess has my vote as well. put them in any section and they will excell. Their staunch support to this site has unquestionably made an impact that everyone on here has felt.

Like I said not everyone is gonna get a spot but, it's only because there are so many good guys around here that there aren't that many positions right now.
