I'm looking at getting a "Here hemi hemi" sticker for my back glass...there are a lot of rumble bee's and reg.cab hemis around with their hemi stickers so I want a hemi sticker too :) ...I'm just curious if yall think anyone would take offense and lets say....trash my truck in a parking lot or something? I just like competition and that would bring plenty :devil:

I've been wanting one also, there is a hemi quad cab that I see all the time going home from work that has a corny sticker on the back window.......Can Ya Hemi Now? I've been trying to entice him to a race but won't bite.

I see people around here all the time with those pee on chevrolet or pee on ford..Most people know its all in good fun... I dont see anyone bashing your truck or anything.. Id say as long as you could back it up.. do it.. The only reason i havent done anything like that is because I can't back it up and that would look stupid.. Im sure youd have no problem with your L though hehe

Ya, but the one I'm talking about says "Here" on the far left glass "hemi..." on the middle sliding part of the glass and "...hemi" on the far right part of glass....it covers the WHOLE back glass....I have the email the guys sent me I'll see if I can find the email address....or if fogle wants to do it I'll show you guys the design I was thinking about getting.

You guys are tooooo much, funny how i never see things classed in the right place. I mean, if you are driving around in a Ford, top of the line SVt dept truck, why not have a sticker that reads.................HERE SRT-10 HERE? Fair classed rides as far as competition goes there, SVT vs. SRT dept, two equally rated special division trucks..................oh, I forgot, FORd quit making them........LMAO.......LMAO! But all in all the HEMI should be classed with the chevy guys running the 5.3/6.0s and the triton 5.4s are more inline with the HEMI. The HEMI is a regular based engine being offered in everything from jeeps, trucks, cars. It should never be in direct competition in the N/A form against a "L", its like comparing a apple to a orange. And as far as stock goes, some of those N/A Hemi engines are running stock "L's" off the track, thats got to be worth something right there alone...........but I like the "L's" and will never knock them, I know what they are capable of, I just think you'd look rediculous riding around in a ligtning with a here here HEMI sticker on the back glass when a SRT-8 charger (this fall's release for sale) or 300 C comes up and shows ya what a HEMI is really capable of, now thats funny, I don't care who you are! Go look on the SRT forum, there is already a bone stock SRT 8 300 C over there running 12s............Dodge is taking this hemi stuff seriously in the SRT dept., and I think you guys better watch for the future of it, the 5.7 is a good engine don't get me wrong, but its an everyday power plant and nothing spectacular compared to the SRT 8. Just give it some time.................don't feel to bad riding around in that "L" when that big 4 door with the A/C pumping reads your window decal and laughs when you get passed by him, it just might be me riding around, so watch it......LMAO!!

I agree with rumblebee as far as the L thing goes. Once the new engine is and I can really back it up Ill have one of those sticker son my truck. But the 6.1L HEMI is badass my girl wants a charger bad and I like the srt's they are awesome looking so I may just have a HEMI sittin outside my apartment. Yeah I know guys I may be crossing over to the dark side but Ill still have my truck it isnt going anywhere I have spent WAAAAY to much money on it to get rid of it.

I bet I can put you on some HEMIs, all motor turning 13s, there is alot of "L's" out there still in the 13s, some in the 11's and 12's as well, but no where near stock stuff on those. I am running a full second better than what you quoted them to run with my RC SB truck here in NC, on all motor.


And yes, there is a HEMI station wagon pulling 12.9s bone stock, the SRT 8 Magnum, guy has video coverage and slips on the SRT forum. You guys had better watch out for the 6.1 HEMI, it is VERY under rated at 425 HP stock, more like 450-475 with the results it putting down at the track. The 5.7 HEMI is a standard engine for most V-8 applications, but the srt 8 HEMI is one you had better beware,and John Hennessey already has 3 cars sitting down in Texas he is playing with, god only knows what he'll get out of them, if there is anything that can be done, he can do it, thats proven, no mattter how his background is. Now keep in mind when I tell you this.............most of the GM crowd over here knows me, and they know that I'm not biased on all dodge stuff or one of the HEMI commerical followers, I'm just trying to get you to realize a point you might want to look into before putting that sticker on your ride, cause you might get embarrassed at the next light you pull up to........but hey, its your ride, so go ahead............ :jest: :devil:

yea and you guys better watch out for the LS7. i guess just cause it says hemi on it then the chevy guys must be scared. i would like to see that bee run 9.4 in the 1/8 stock.

It is pretty much stock man, a little head work(more polish than port work), exhaust, and a modded factory air intake system. No programmer, nothing else at all. You aren't that far from NC, next time we do the Rock, you should come down. I have slips as well as a bunch of witnesses from the Rock, I don't think a 9.4 is all that good myself, or a 14.6 either really, but thats what it turns.

why would you go thru all the work to take your heads off to polish them and not port them or put a cam in the truck? kinda weird dont you think. mine run 9.51 with a sorry 60 ft time. 2.35 i believe it was.

At the time I did my heads, there was no cams on the market for the hemi at all, other than what DC had done for us stock. Even today, the cams COMP and KRC Perf. are selling are throwing codes, so its not worth it until someone gets one out that will function right. I do know of one truck up in the Baltimore, Md. area that is runing the 6.1 heads and cam, but we haven't seen the dyno results yet. He hasn't thrown any codes, but I'm willing to bet that they are so close in grind or size, it might be a 10 HP difference tops. Also, a stage 1 port and polish, anything else and I'd need something to operate the fuel management, or run lean as hell. A guy out of Va. Beach did like a stage III, had to go to a perfect power SMT6 to control the fuel. There really isn't alot of mods out there that work well with these engines, your basics, headers, exhaust, CAI, but as we all know they aren't to serious of mods. SRT will unleash some performance stuff for the 6.1 hemi, but we don't know if it'll work with the 5.7 due to the computer. These trucks are so tempermental its funny man, NOS is about the only kinda friendly mod that seems to work well and show good results.

Not meaning to be a menace and try to prove you wrong, but w/chip, tune, pulley, and intake almost any L is putting down close to 400rwhp....and that is anywhere from 12.6-13flat sec in the quarter w/descent 60ft and depending on tires(little spin).....$100 pulley(used or new not from a aftermarket dealer), $100 chip(used), $45 homeade k&n ram air intake, and $150 for dyno tune....if you can find a hemi putting down 400rwhp or even turning 14flat quarter w/$400-450 let me know. :judge: I have to agree though the new hemis are going to be bad, but we'll see what ford spits out next :) it's all in fun and difference of opinion so don't take this the wrong way :chug:

Dude you are not running a 14.6 stock.... unless you have some sort of factory freak...

I have seen the "RUMBLEBEE" run and it turned a 15.5@89..... Which is not bad at all for a stock truck but dude you are not 14.6 stock..

You might be running 14.6 with a good head job, Tune, and CAI... amybe some othe rlittle mods here and there...

The best I have managed was a 15.09@92.7 and I have outrun every hemi I have raced... and BeefTip can voutch for that....

Im not trying to act like a badass... my truck is slow (not for long) but it is right now..

Heads, exhaust, and a modded factory air intake, and spring clamps..........hang on and I'll get the slip up. Its not that fast of a truck man, I promise. If I decide to get the superchips, it should shave about .3 tenths, so I'd be looking at around 14.3 then, but we will have to wait til its out to find out.

I don't have a scanner, this is the best I can do for ya, if you can't make it out, this is what it reads............keep in mind, I'm not bragging with these times, cause a 14.6 is slow.....LOL! If you look you can see I lost in this run, I was running around a 14.73- 14.75 consistent all day long. It was between me and a guy with another Rumble Bee for the shoot out, I broke out by 24 thousandths of a second and wound up finishing second place. I am showing up as car # 85, we had some of the bee guys there and quite a few from DTW as well. The ROCK, Rockingham, NC
