318 with Vortech blown head gaskets..lol
360 with Vortech...skurred to take it down the track..lol

Stock leafs with lowering shackles and hangers, and then I have the Competition eng. slide a links, that’s what you’re seeing up under there.

This same shortblock in another truck (GEN 3 Dakota, 4100lbs) with very similar mods went 11's @116. My truck weighs in around 3600 or so..

Its a good thing Screams truck is slower than mine. You see, last time I broke my truck I was "passing" Scream on the big road and I called him to ask if he could tell from BEHIND me what color that smoke was coming out of the truck...

Yeah, waxing my 4.8's ass before I got EDIT and raised the shift points from 5600 to 6200. I dropped .5-.6 by bumping the shift points up.

We haven't run the trucks since I got the LS1 in it. Mainly because yours came out w/ a blown, low compression 360 and I don't have shit for it...yet. :devil:

Yeah...it's kind of like a midnight drag format, but there's no noise restriction. There are still some pro/super pro cars T&T'ing, but there are more street cars than race cars.

I haven't had the time or resources to get the motor out and have it looked at. If the crank and block are still good, I'm thinking about just staying w/ the stock displacement and throwing a set of AFR's and a bigger cam at it. If there's something REALLY wrong with the setup, I don't really know what I'm going to do yet. Probably a low budget 408 if I can swing it.

scream i ran 9.09 in the 1/8 w/245-330 to the wheels on exhaust, intake, and a tq converter. now the mph was like 75 compared to your 80 but.... :judge:

My 9.09 was w/ a 2.3 short time on my 20" radials. I have a LOT of other excuses, but I'll just say that I never really got a chance to dial everything in. I've got a whole lot of things planned for this build if I can ever get around to it. I'm swapping in a 4L80-e w/ 3200-stall converter, 4.10's and an Eaton, some Cal-Tracs. If I could even get a 1.9 short time, I'm sure I'd be in the 8.80's at least. Just have to get all of this crap outta my garage and into the truck.

Truer words have never been spoken.... I can live ( barely and because I have to ) with the expense, Chevy will always be less expensive to mod if for no other reason than more people do them. IF we ever get a tuning program them we in the Mopar clan will be on a much more even playing field with the Chevy guys.
