First I want to say that I am not bragging about this. I just thought it was so funny that I had to share it. Yesterday, I pulled up to a light. Beside me pulls up a stock appearing ECLB 4x4 Dodge diesel (about a 2000 model). I didn't tihink anything about it until the light changed and he floored it. So, while thinking "Are you freakin kiddin me?" I punched it and blew by him...he hadn't let off. Sure enough the next light catches us. I'm thinking that he has learned his lesson so I didn't expect anything, but he did it again. :jest: Same story... I smoke him again. A third freakin light catches us, so I'm thinkin screw it I'm done playin because now we're by the mall (I know y'all are thinking "They have malls in Arkansas?") and there is some traffic around. So I just take off normal, and he floors it again. Then he slows down, apparently wanting to go from a roll at about 40. He hit it, I let him get almost a truck length then hit it and went by him again. I don't know why he thought he could keep up with a RCSB 5.3 that runs mid 15s or why he didn't learn after the first time that he couldn't.

I know diesels can be made to be really fast, but this one wasn't. Even stock, the new ones are pretty quick. I would have had more fun with the guy if I had been driving my dad's Dodge that was just like that guy's except short bed. I don't want anybody to think that I'm talking crap about diesels, or that I don't know their potential...I wish I could afford one.

Yeah, with certain chips. I'm not sure about the details, but have heard about it being done. All I know is that it is really hard on stock transmissions.
