The horsepower reading is at 5200 RPM(Due to shifting into 4th) and max power with stock PCM is a achieved at around 5700-5900 RPM(God please send me a real programer). Best time is 14.87 using the Richmond Track at 5320-40(gas used getting up there) lbs certified scale weight. This is in full street trim. Without weight reduction but with are better programmer(harder shifts) I can expect a 14.5 with my current setup. Being my track is so high in the air, my times look crappy compared to everyone else down at sea level. Using the NHRA Correction factors, my times look a little better. On my fastest run I was only able to get a 2.259 60' when I've gotten a 2.15 60' on a slower run. I do know this though, it was installed from the factory as a dealer option. There's a tag on my inner door panel where the factory sent it to have the roof installed.. some place in detroit. It was a package deal in 1998 with some V6 trucks (v6, auto, sunroof, 6 disc changer, rear slider and bed liner). When i bought my truck, there was one just like it but in amethyst. Since then, i've seen two other trucks that were just like mine use to be. i'll see what i can do for you though... You're right, speed doesn't matter much in brackets. In fact, speed generally makes it tougher. I was the points champion at one track for 4 years in a row - until I got a quicker car. Then I wasn't consistent enough anymore to go rounds.... or make points. |
