It'll be a while before any Nissans get going. There still isn't a whole lot out there yet. I doubt it will ever reach the level of aftermarket support the Chevy trucks enjoy. And the pricing that comes with that huge of a market. the only programmer out there runs $800 and can't change the tranny. The first supercharger is out there (Eaton style) from Stillen and it's $6000.

give it time young jedi, give it time. it took several years for anyone to come out with a decent selection of stuff for our trucks too.

how about this, pull the motor and trans and drop in an LS-1!! :) would definately be a first!! is that a 32 valve motor?

Yep. Twice as many things we can break in the valvetrain alone!

and twice as much flow too. the "L" guys that can afford to do it get the 32 valve heads from the navigator and drop them on that supercharged 5.4 and it makes one hell of a difference. you have a good starting point, now just build on it. your biggest obstacle will be your PCM.

Seems like a good oppurtunity for someone interested in Titans to come out with some parts for them. :thinker: ;)

Tex, to my knowledge there has not been a successful 32V 5.4 L yet. The problem is there is not a lower intake manifold built with and intercooler to fit yet. This means you have to go to a custom intake and loose the roots blower. I will attach the link to one of the L guys that is working on his twin turbo 32V project. It has pictures of pretty much everything he has done so far....ENJOY!!

Only real problem with them now is the whole "sleeper" image is gone now. If you're at the track with a diesel, people are now expecting you to run 12s,11s, whatever. At least, that's what we're getting at our tracks. The mustang/ stock fbody crowd won't race the local diesels because they're kinda afraid of getting their pride hurt by a 7000+lb tank.

i beg to differ. there is a chick, yes a chick, with one here in dallas that has the 32v heads on hers. how it got done i don't know. what is different between the heads? will the stock intake not bolt right up?

As I said, to my knowledge. Do you know if she is still running the roots blower?? If so, I'd love to know where she got the lower intake from.

The 32v dohc heads are much wider which takes up alot of the space in the engines "valley" The intake ports on the heads are much close together than that of a 16v sohc motor. Not only will the holes not line up but the intake itself is way to wide. Not to mention the intake ports are shaped differently than the sohc heads. Would like to see the setup and how it is done. There is one of the Lightning parts vendors supposedly releasing a lower intake to fit these but it was not close to completion last I heard....

BrickRocket - Did you put that link to the 32V twin turbo lightning anywhere? I don't see it. :)
