I'm in Bowie, MD currently and looking to move. It'll probably be to Calvert county somewhere but, only if I win the lottery or something. :bang:
Where is everyone located around here?
We need to get a meet setup in the next month or so at a track around here. My truck might be down off the jackstands in a couple weeks. :jest:

Maybe we should get something together in a couple weeks?

To get to Capitol will be a straight shot for you. Just go 60-70+ miles straight up 301. It'll be on the left. :P :jest:

Maryland International Raceway would be ALOT closer for you. It's off of 234 which is right down there off 301 near the 301 Bridge.

Yeah, the one Sunday I went up there with my car a few years back it was empty. I could've hot lapped all day if I wanted but, my transmission had other plans. :bang: It was cold that day, the water was starting to freeze in the burnout area. :D

Live in the Frederick area (Knoxville) of Maryland and work in Gaithersburg, MD. I live 15 minutes from Hagerstown Speedway and maybe 30 minutes from 75-80 Dragway. Defintely interested in meeting everyone, inlcude me in on the get together once we are free from jackstands! LOL (getting rid of the 72" driveshaft and converting to a two piece). Crofton is a hell of drive ;), especially if I break something. Let me know if any of ya would like to meet up at 75-80 or Hagerstown in the mean time definitely keep me posted if you plan a big meet in Crofton.

You might as well forget about 75/80 I was there earlier this year and the place flat out sucked. I do know some folks that go to hagerstown.

What about MIR and Old Dominion in Manass-Hole. Dominion is only a 1/8 mile track though but the good thing is you can run all night with no restrictions. And you dont have to completey wait for class

I heard that...75/80 has always been a slower track, man it's in bad condition. My best friend knows the Wilcom's which are the owners, they had "supposedly" sold it to a developer like 5 years ago with the contention they were allowed to keep the track running until they are ready to develop the land. That would make sense since the place is in shambles. It's supposed to be turned into a retirement community.

So sometime when all our trucks are down off of jackstands :jest: we need to all meet up. I don't care where myself. I'm pretty much centrally located so any of the "outskirts" tracks are about the same distance away. :) Capitol is close though, I could walk home if my truck broke....well maybe not that close but, close. :)
I've seen the 1/8 mile track at Old Dominion when I've been to the circle track races there and that place is kinda scary. :jest:

Yeah, especially with the grass growing up through the cracks in the track. :jest:
The "Single Lane - Do Not Pass" signs going down the track are kinda scary too. :P :jest: ;)
Is just my perspective of that track or are the guardrails REAL close to the sides of the lanes? :D
Nah, I've never actually raced there just seen it because we had to park over in that area for the circle track races one night. :)

Yup, yup, and yup :jest: Its a friggin dump but we call it home.......Its the closest place to get it out of your system without going to jail, only 5 minutes away. The first time we went and realized the entrance puts you right in the staging lanes I almost shit. We try to make it down to MIR as much as possible but with midnight madness being on Friday and the traffic you can only get like 3 runs in.......still worth it though.
When Blackie and I get back from my wedding we're throwing in the 383, 4L80, N2O, etc.... We're definately game for a track day.........anywhere

Hopefully, the flexplate I ordered will take care of my problems. :)
