Hey ramjet, yeah some of us meet up at MMSP sometimes. I'll probably be there for Test n Tune this thursday, but I'll have to leave and go to work around 10:00pm. I try to make it out there when my schedule allows.

What is the name of that track over in your area? I got a buddy that has been trying to get me up there on that track near Jonesboro. I'm was going to the track about 4 times a month until the Patriot heads slowed my truck down. Now I'm slow and have no bussiness at the track thanks to Patriot.

I'll be interested to see how your Pacesetter's do for you. I talked to Texas Speed about some today, but haven't ordered yet. They've got em' on special right now.

Deffinately a nice looking setup there man. Motor looks awesome. And the truck looks like it's got a nice straight body on it. That should be a fun project with a big payoff in the end.

It's in Belle Rose, LA. (close to New Orleans) Usually the first weekend in Nov. I believe.

Several of the guys that post in the Southern Section go, so I'm sure there will be more talk about it with specifics and all between now and then. It's bracket style racing, so you don't have to be the fastest to win.

Maybe TnTrk53 will chime in, he's the deffending champ. :drive: 2 years in a row.

I was planning on going to the race in Ky., but the NASCAR TRUCKS are running in Memphis that weekend. It'll be a night race, a lot cooler than last year. I don't want to miss it.

And yes I love that Southern Shootout in the fall.

I drive a 03 Lightning with a few bolt ons, but still at stock boost. What night does memphis do test and tune? Id love to run the 1/4 to see what itd do. I havnt been on the track since I added the traction bars and drive shaft loop

Memphis does Test & Tune on Thurs. nights. Right now they are doin' it on Tuesdays also, but Thurs. night has the best turn out.

Are you still getting on the dyno soon? Are you going to spray on it too?

I'm about to head up to Dynospeed in about an hour if it hasn't been rained out. Hopefully I gained about 10 rwhp with the new additions of 1.8 roller rockers. About a month ago it dynoed 365 hp and 340 torque, but those numbers have got to be a little high.

Ive been thinking bout calling dynospeed to see about getting on the dyno with my L. Id like to see what I am actually putting to the wheels before I bump the boost up a lil bit. Its the closest dyno that I know of.
