It will take some getting used to though since all brands are here officially now. :)

It will be interesting for sure to see how well the other brands take to an LS1Tech affiliate, and also how well the new brands interact with the existing converts...I think the way this got started it may feel like a Chevy/GMC forum that decided to be nice and allow other brands in. It'lll be a weird mix of the best Chevy/GMC forum and a startup forum for the other brands. I wonder how many of the other brand guys (and girls) we'll actually attract......

It will deffinatley be interesting for the first few months :D

I guess I have to get used to it. It doesn't seem like the the other brands will converse as we do though. :eyes:

Well seems pretty cool!,but honestly I really dont like it.I got to get used to it! I was like WTF when I went to the LS1-tech trucks forum.

It's pretty weird, should be cool once more members with other brands sign up though.

Should be quite a bit of banning going on. I imagine alot of cross brand posting and alot of :bs: being called. Should be interesting. :)

Its ok, will take some getting used to though. I feel as though we were banished to the other side of the island though from the f-bodies/vettes. They never really did seem to care much that we were there.

I know I will still surf Tech quite a bit though, the knowledge there is worth it. Should be good here though, at least all of the regular Tech Truck Crowd will be here for the knowledge and all.

The other brands, should be interesting, it might make a good deal too, to be able to make some matchups online and take to the track, get to know other truck guys from other brands and know what they drive and where they are located, to be on the lookout ya know. Will be a lot of he said/she said though.

I think its great.. All the guys with others brands know how good ls1tech is and I think they will come here and make this a great place.. Atleast you can't get bashed here for trying to make a truck go fast :)

One of the real nice things I like about this new site is the Regional forums just for the reason you talk about in your last paragraph. Great place to meet new people online in your area with similiar interest(modding trucks) even if they don't drive the same make. :)

Like I said, it will take some getting used to. I will say that I agree with you on the interaction with the car guys. I know me personally, I tried to participate with them, especially in the Texas Section, most of the times to no avail. So that is nice to not feel like the redheaded stepchild of the bunch in that respect.

I like it, but it will take some getting used to....as we don't have all the info for research from the N20/FI sections. Maybe in the coming months we could a get a sticky done up with the general FAQ's.

i think this site is a perfect oppurtunit to rep. for the GM guys and show the rest of the truck world we are by far more advanced and serious about this. the ford guys as much as i try to see them as cool guys still throw off this "I'm a lightning owner" vibe off. they swear its a fuckin super car. and the SRT10 guys well i ran into 2 this weekend and well they were both assholes not saying they all are but still ive ran into many GM fullsize guys in even the Daily drive ( ford expedition) and they are the the most aproachable cool guys and always down for a race :nod:

Must be something about buying a fast stock truck then putting a little bit of money into it....whereas the guys who buy GM's and Chevy's put a lot of work and a lot of $$ into getting their trucks just as fast. Gotta have a little more respect for eachother when you're talking the amount of money we spend vs. the amount they spend to get to the same point.

I'm okay with the trucks having their own place, but the off-brands kinda sucks. I've been to other truck boards with multi-makes and it never fails- you always get the idiots coming over to the other side to startcrap.

Here's something, anyone know ?? Since I never go to the other makes, I can't say if the GM guys do it too, but the furd and dudge and yota boyz were constantly going to the gm side and starting crap. Do the GM guys go to their side and do the same ???

But, if everyone is even a little respectful towards the others, I think it'll be a great thing :D

The fact is, our truck segment on LS1TECH is very popular. Unfortunately, we could never get any big name truck sponsors/manufacturers to join the site simply because they viewed LS1TECH as a "Camaro site". No matter how busy or popular the truck forums were, they only saw the entire site and labeled it as a Camaro/Firebird/Corvette site. They have every reason to do so, because that makes up the majority of our membership over there.

So, this kept the truck forums from growing. Had we allowed them to expand, eventually the truck forums would be MUCH larger than the LS1 related forums. Think about how many performance trucks exist vs vehicles with LS1 engines. The numbers are staggering in comparison.

With the new site, the truck performance forum can GROW. It can also form its own identity in the media and racing world. We fully expect this site to grow into something much larger than LS1TECH. The industry is there, the market is there, and the truck sales are there. Sure, it might take a while, but we have big plans in store.

So, please quit thinking you got the boot from LS1TECH. That isn't even close to the truth. We recognized the need for a stand-alone performance truck site in order to allow it to grow its potential, and here it is.
