Ok, I made it here to N.O. yesterday and have been couped up in this hotel every since. Saw three wrecks on the way from Baton Rouge to here, two within a 1/4 mile of each other and then somebody pulling a boat rear-ended a SUV on the Ponchatrain causeway. The truck didn't do to bad on gas on the trip over. Filled up on the way through Mont Belview on 146 and cruised on over at 70-75 and only used about a 1/2 a tank. At 302 miles on the Pont. causeway I was actually a little over 1/2 a tank but then the stop-n-go traffic from about 1/2 way across took care of that. Anyway looks like no rain in the forcast as of yet so I'll be trying to head out to NPR Wed. eve...Zed

Had fun even though it was short (only 2 runs). Great group of guys out there and a really nice track. I didn't know that they didn't do any track prep on Wednesdays so I was really spinning off the line. I want to thank everyone there for the hospitality I almost felt like I was back home. I think I may have talked the wife into coming back in Nov. for the shootout, we'll see. This was her first time to any track and she said she had fun and everybody was friendly and made her feel welcomed. These guys really seem to know their stuff. I'll be on the lookout in Nov. Once again thanks guys...Zed :cheers:

I only ran 14.5 w/ a 2.30 60' and the bad part was I lost to a Hemi Ram :( I had a better R/T, he out 60'ed me and held me off till the end, and I was a tenth slower then him (14.4), and was close to 2mph faster on the big end. Oh, by the way I made it back home OK after all the damn traffic we went through today, took 9 freakin hours to get back :barf: and now I'm going to sleep, good night all...Zed :zzz:

I Was There That Night.i Was Hoping That I Would See More People Out There. The Hemi Had A 200 Shot. The Weather Was 90 At 9pm And The Humidity Was About 90. I Went 13.12@103.5 I Was Spinning A Little. The Hemi Ran 13.90 On A 100 Shot.

Yeah he's moving pretty good, hell I thought it was a 5.3. He did say he was the slowest of the bunch but not by much w/ a 4.8. I'll have to get cooking to atleast get it down into the consistent 13's. I think the little womans ready to come back for the shootout (she's making plans) and when she makes plans it's almost set in stone so I'll look forward to seeing you at the shootout...Zed
