Our 454ss club hosts a Sport Truck Shootout every year at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY. The time is coming up again and we'd like to get more of a variety of trucks out there.
The date: July 29-30.
The place: Beech Bend Raceway
There will be dash plaques, door prizes, and prizes for different things like "quickest E.T", "slowest E.T", etc.
Last year we had about 40 trucks show up, 90% were 454SS'. We'd like to get more out there. We had a couple members drive from California to make the event, lots of people from the Northeast, Texas, Florida, etc. It's an awsome time.

We rent the track out for the afternoon and we have never had any "tech" issues. They're laid back for our event.

Quit being a woos 2bseen. :eyes: It's a bracket race. Ease it out of the hole then hammer it, shoot for 12.00s. That what I'm going to do, I don't have a roll bar too. :jest: Maybe we'll get to duke it out on the track. :engarde:

The new NHRA rules have 11.49 for a roll cage now. Either way the track doesn't enforce NHRA rules while we have it rented.

sound lik fun it will be good to see a great truck showin round here. i go to beach bend every weekend and most of the time we are over loaded with mustangs. it will be great to have the chevy truck show how bad the bow-tie really is. so i can brag to my ford loving friend.

The event not big enough for a payout, it's all for fun. You'll get a trophy, dash plaque, and other little things.

The track is paid for.
Now we just need lots of trucks to show up.
We are having a "cruise" on Friday night, just a general get-together and maybe some fun out on the street later that night.

Ya didnt they change it to 11.50 and faster because of all the new performance cars getting into the 11's stock!?!
You should post this over on syty.net, I'm sure some of the local guys would be up for it. I think they just had the SyTy Nats in KY last month.
