Well, I had to get gas at work a few months ago and a Sunoco was the nearest gas station so I stopped and filled up. I always had went to Shell before that but, one was not near where I was at. After a couple more fill ups(Some at Shell, some at Sunoco) I noticed that sometimes my mileage would be 21.6+/- mpg and sometimes it would be right at 20.5 mpg. I decided to see if it was the Sunoco gas making the difference so I filled up with Shell for a few fillups(2 a week average). Sure enough I was just barely getting 20.5mpg. So the last couple fill ups I used Sunoco and have been getting 21.6mpg.
It only takes 3 days to run through a tank of gas and the trip is pretty much the same all the time so these results I feel are pretty accurate.
I don't know what that V-Power crap has in it but, Shell just got my last dollar.
Anyone else notice a difference in mileage between different gas stations?
BTW, this was in my car as my truck is on jackstands for a transmission swap(waiting on a trans jack from harbor freight)

Don't have it here. I use to run Sunoco 260 (105 octane, old way of rating it?) in my 71 Demon 340...seemed to run a little quicker. Now I just use what is cheapest.

Driving style doesn't vary enough to account for the increase. I've tried slowing down before and not going WOT any to get better mileage and it NEVER accounted for this much of an increase. BTW, 90% or so of the miles are highway and I can burn up two tanks of gas in a week just for work so I have a pretty damn good idea what type of mileage my car gets.
