Default Are the 4.3s LS1 based?

I'm guessing no since they're v6's. Or are they, only with two less cylinders? Same thing goes for the base camaros 3.8s or whatever they have, are those ls1 based?

Niether are LS1 based. Although the 4.3's are very similar to a GEN 1 smallblock with two cylinders lopped off. A Gen III based V6 would kick *** though!

The only v6 that i've seen that looks like a Ls1 set up is in the new regular Caddy CTS. It looks really nice. Im guessing it should Be a northstar

That caddy v6 is a 3.9L which is actually a German motor. Originally came in Catera's which were all German built. But cadillac still uses that motor in the CTS.

An LS1 based V6 would be sick though. If it was similar to the 4.3L , they could put out some good number with some build and tune.

spider injectors
the 4.3s use this system for EFI- the unit is the center is a pump of sorts, that delivers fuel to the 6 poppet valves on the end of each tube

YEah that V6 looks good under the hood. Gots the throttle body on front of the motor and gots a good induction system.
