Default Anybody clear powdercoat Aluminum rims?

If so, is there a certain type of clear powdercoat you recommend?

And are there any specific curing procedures to look for from a powdercoating shop?

And do I need to know anything more?

I have heard about getting Polished Aluminum wheels 'ceramic clear coated'

I guess it is supposed to make them shine like chrome does always.

I just had this done at Specialty Coatings in Huntington Beach, CA.

I bought a brand new set of polished aluminum Billet Specialties wheels, and was not looking forward to having to polish them out every week.

I made some calls, and found out that Budnik wheels (also located in Huntington Beach, CA), used Specialty Coatings for their optional "clearcoat," available on all their polished rims.

I just got the rims back last week, the wheels did not lose any shine, and the maintenance on the wheels is just spray water, and wipe off--that easy.

You should probably ask a powder coater, but i'm unsure if they are gonna give you details, since that is how they make their money. I do know it turns out good, if they know what they are doing, i have seen some that end up with a yellow tint to them best to let a shop do it right.

I really don't know. Budnik turned me onto them, and I trusted their expertise ...

You can try giving the guy a call. His name is Kelly Inman, real nice fellow.

Yeah. I am not planning on doing it myself. I just want to know what I am talking about when I walk in to a powder coating shop so I don't get screwed.
