Default Is .500 lift the Limit?

Is a .500 lift cam the limit on the stock springs? Just curious, also if the motor will be spun less than 5600 RPM's?

Yes, that is correct. I had a 2k vette cam with .500 lift and spun mine to 6100 for almost a year with no problems.

The chevy guys up here tell me they are good for .550 lift.

To back that up i have been running my cam with .560 lift shifting at 6500rpms for 2 months now with no problems. No valve train noise either.
