Default Fuel pump problems...

At 154,300 fuel pump is showing me signs of going out. Has anyone replaced theirs yet and where did you get it from. Local stealer wants 403.74 for new module and the local O'reilly doesn't know if they have what I need, said there is two codes on the pump TCF or TCU and they only carry one. Need help fast...Zed

Oh yeah forgot to mention truck is a 99 RCSB GMC 5.3 L 2WD

Pretty sure a Walbro 255lph would work just fine for you. Sounds like the dealer is pricing the entire module, not just the pump.

Yes dealer is pricing the whole module. Not to familiar w/ the Walbro does it fit inside the tank like OEM or can you mount it in the frame outside the tank. Also can I get it locally I'm at work and I need to get it A.S.A.P. to put it in to drive an hour back to the house...Zed

I had the TCF. Thankfully O'reilly had the one I needed and I saved about 120 bucks. Took about 2.5 hrs. Back on the road again...Zed
