Default tire pressure for 20's

yesterday went and got my oil changed and the guy asked me about the tire pressure. I told him I don't know. what is a good rule of thumb for tire pressure. I know factory recommends 35 psi but that is with 16 inch wheels. So what should the tire pressure be. I was at 50 and they brought it down to 40.

Look on your tire and see what max psi is. That's what I usually go by and I have had decent tire wear so it can't be too far off.

I'm running 38F 34R in my 20" Toyo's. I hadn't checked the tire pressure in a long time and they had gotten down to 29F and 31R. I hadn't checked them because they seemed to be wearing very well, but the handling was becoming shitty even with the Hotchkis set up, so I figured the tire pressure had to be it. I filled them up to the current numbers, and jeez it made a huge difference in the way the truck handles. Before it would squeal and plow, now it feels really tight and almost wants to oversteer in most situations, before plowing.
