Are you adding an amp to the stock deck?
If it is just to power the sub then all you need is a 12v ignition simulator.
Stinger makes one called an LVT2 or DEI makes one but I forgot the part #.. Find a Peripheral or DEI (Clifford/Viper) dealer and you can get one for about $10 or so.

Got everything hooked up kosher (or so I thought) Now, I have RAGING engine noise BLASTING through the sub!!!!!!! I'm so F'n pissed...tried everything to get rid of it...put the RCA's outside...changed the ground, rand the power directly from the battery AND changed to getting the power from where the alternator is hooked (little red distribution box thing) rand the power on the drivers side, in the middle and then tried all the way across the engine bay (over the fan schroud) outside down the passangers side...NOTHING works!!!!! Anyone have a trick to get rid of this????
