Hey i dont know about you but i wouldn't let anyone, unless they are certified to work on your truck, tap into your ignition system.

the company I'm taking it to is well qualified. Just about every dealership in the Carlsbad area uses them. I was just in the shop and they do a ton! of dealer upgrade installs prior to seeing a sales lot. The H2 that was in there had a sticker of 58K and change before electronic upgrades, after it was 97K and change. That is not an unusual thing for this shop (i.e. every once in a while), they do this all the time. I was completely surprised at the amount of dealership work these guys do.

A top notch stereo is nice! I've got...
Alpine 7998
JL XR-653CSi (3 way comps) in kickpanels
JL 13W3v2 in a Stealthbox
Infinity Kappa 462.5cfp 4x6 plates
I install my own audio and save $$$$$. :) You'll be amazed at the clairity over the OE stuff. That sound deadening will really keep the ride quiet too!

You didn't mention which subs you are using....
Nice system. Did you actually listen to the Boston mids/highs though? Just
curious.
I'm running:
Deck: Eclipse CD8454
EQ: Audio Control Four.1
Caps: Stinger and Lightning Audio
Amps: JL Audio 300/4 and 500/1
Subs: Eclipse Aluminum 88120.4 x2
Front Mids: Diamond Audio M661
Rear: JL Audio XR525-Cxi
Just a basic system. Sounds very clean, images well and is decently loud.

yes I listened to the mids highs before purchasing. I know many people don't like the tweet on them.
Back up camera is eclipse, plugs right into the HU.
Subs are Boston Pro 10.5 LF's!!

hitman, I'm out of town up in the Seattle Wash. area right now.
I'll be back Friday and that is the same day the truck should be done, BUT, from my daily updates it sounds more like mon or tues.
that week should be good for some baseline dyno runs with a completely stock truck at full weight and some Carlsbad dragstrip runs soon after.
Then I will be installing the headers/catback and a redyno.
then the forced air system will be installed!
thanks for asking!

yep, was, home now, bremerton.
Called the shop, truck still needs 2 full work days! I'm driving by tomorrow to check
it out.
according to them the inside is basically gutted so they could hide the alarm control modules a little better than usual.

It took me a day to gut the interior in F150 to put some sound deadening on the floor and install new carpet. So for all what's going in there...that's about right I'd guess.
It took me about a day to get all the stereo in my truck in there.

Got an update today, been programming the alarm system, I guess with so many options/features its taking extra time to get them all sorted.
door speakers are in, dynamat is in, alarm is in.
fiberglass box, head unit, and amps still need to be installed.
