coming from I610 head East on 225
Exit Battleground Rd.
Turn left and go over the freeway overpass.
keep going striaght untill you come to a fork in the road.
Stay in the left hand lane and take the left fork.
Enter park
this will bring you into the entrance to the Battleship Texas.
It will be on your left.
turn left into drive for the Battleship, and continue to go left.
follow the drive untill you can turn left again.
you will see the pavilion that was pictured earlier.
parking is in front of it.

A word of WARNING,

When I was out there hunting for a site, one of the park Rangers noticed I was driving a tad to fast. So he sat at a stop sign and put his radar on me untill I left. the reason I know this is because my radar detector wasn't going off and then after I turned in front of him and got going he flipped it on.
If you want to bring something to eat that is fine. But I plan on eating before I get there. Just planning on hanging out untill it's time to go to the track.
By all means tho if yall want to BBQ go right ahead. there is a pit right there or you can bring your own.

I don't think this is so much a car club, but more just a bunch ofus truck guys getting together. The truck guys are kinda the outcast on the site, so we tend to stick together a lot. We're just planning a get together down in H-town and then it's going to the track.

when I got my trans back from Century they said it was ready to go no break in needed. everything was ready to go.
So far it has been almost 3 months and not a prob yet.( knock on wood).
longest I have gone so far on one.:)

That's only 2 weeks I think .... it's gonna take a week to get built ... after that it will take another week to break in at the least ... it may be ready. Maybe I can get the rod bolts in too while its sitting up. THen I can spin it up to 7k! :devil:

My builder told me that the clutches are nothing more than cardboard more les and he said they would prolly be OK, but a new clutch will burn up before a seasoned one would. He's an old skewl builder that seems to know his stuff. He isn't a performance oriented guy but he does do good work on OEM type stuff. He basically does it cause he likes it. Him and his son do it and he does just enough work to stay busy.

my new diff is leaking. my cats are bad at least one of them is. i have to get my tune tweeked some. i have found one 02 sensor not reading correctly. one the opposite side of the bad cat. so i am going to park her for a while and save up some dough. i will drive her everyonce in a while but i am going to wait till july before i go to any meets or racing.

We have meteorologists here at my job and one of them says that some showers will most likely come through in the mid-afternoon.
I say we go ahead and postpone the meet, it will be shitty with like 3-5 guys there.

So far, June 20 is looking better than the 27. My sister's birthday is that weekend and I don't know what my family has planned. But if you do make on the 27, I will try and make it out there.

for all those that didnt go it was a good time.
we had about7 trucks show up at the Monument and 6 of those 7 went to the track and raced.
I think everyone there improved on there times.

there was only one Hemi that showed up from the DTW forum, and he was a cool guy.
never did get to line up with him but he had saidd he was running 14.5-6 .
all in all it was a good night :)

Sorry guys that I didn't make it to the meet. Sounds like I missed a good one. My nephew was getting baptized yesterday and all the family went out to eat afterwards. It all lasted a little longer than what I had expected. By the time I new it, the time was reading 5:00pm. Maybe next time guys, sorry. :(

i made it and had a lot of fun. the guy from DTW was real cool to.

I went and had alot of fun. It was great meeting you guys even though i relized how slow my truck is. But hey it was my first time at the track. I really appreciated all the tech tips and track know how that yall gave me i cant wait to do it again.
