Default 2 inch rear drop idea

I want a way to drop the rear 2 inches without using shackles. I haven't seen any 2 inch drop springs for the rear. If someone knows of some, please let me know .. but also look at the rest of the post and tell me waht you think.

I was thinking use a 4 inch 4x4 drop spring. That should give the 2wd truck a 2 inch drop and much heavier, beefier spring which will get rid of sag when I load up the 4-wheeler and kill som mad wheel-hop.

What ya'll think ?

I must ask why you don't want to use shackles.

I don't have a real compelling reason honestly. I was under the impression that the shackles did some wierd things with your suspension. This is gonna be a quick truck and I want some beefy parts under there. I will probably add traction bars at some point if i can't cure the wheel hope some other way.

Maybe that helps .. tell me what ya'll think again.

Use some 2* shims with the shackles and you will have no problems.

What do ya'll think about the 4" drop springs for a 4x4? Would that give me ~2" drop? Would they even fit on the truck ?

Will shackles or shims affect ride quality?

Shackles may make it ride very slightly stiffer.
