Overkill unless you have boost. Even then not necessary.

I've got a 4" FloPro system on my 2500, but if it was stock I would say it's definitely not worth it. You can definitely tell the low end is lacking a bit bc of less backpressure.

Besides, even the stock 6.0 exhaust config is already pretty huge for a stock engine. I'd keep it the way it is and add a nice big Magnaflow or a denali 6.2 muffler (have my old one for sale if interested PM me)

im running 4" with a pair of borla XR-1's back to back, the smallest ones. sounds excellent to me but definitely overkill unless youre boosted, and even then its still overkill. but sounds awesome

Nah, just depends on what you run for a muffler. Or in my case, mufflerS. My boss has an 01 ext cab with LTs, no cats and single 3" to crappy single chamber flowmaster 10 series and its WAY louder than my truck, but doesnt sound nearly as good. But what do you expect from a flowcrapper. Its loud, but definitely not too loud.

So those borla's work well, huh? I'll keep that in mine if I ever need to tame mine down.
