I disagree. The power difference isn't seen in the hp it's seen in the tq, egts and mpg. My mother in law picked up 3-4 mpg straight piped on a mild tune. It is a totally different truck both unloaded and towing. Egt's while towing being the most important factor.

I had a diesel, I got tired of the money it costs to maintain one. I can build a 600 rwhp gasser for alot cheaper then I can an GMT 800, I can maintain a 600rwhp gasser alot cheaper then I can a lmm or lml. Diesels are fun, crazy torque but, I got out of the diesel game because logistics just don't add up for me. I can have as much fun in a gas rig- for less.

Injectors- 2-5k
Built trans- 3-5k
Custom tuning- 1k
Fueling support -1k
That is the cost on top of the gmt 800 Duramax to have a true 600rwhp rig.
We havent even started talking about dual fuelers or big fuel.

Pick your poison.

Even a mild tune on an lmm or lml is pretty respectable. Its all in the torque
