Nice catch.

The inlets to the magnaflow muffler included in the kit are 2.5" whereas the OE pipes coming into the OE muffler are 3.0" so adapters will need to be used there.

Mufflers are no place to skimp!!! Read my last post on crossover. Looks good or cheap, so what? My flowbench is open if you are in the area and think you have a better idea. I have flowed tons of mufflers, and the quietest and best flowing ones are the 17770 or 17769 3" Dynomax. I have run extensive tests on 9 and 10 second cars on the strip, I flow whatever I can get my hands on, and these are the best street muffler I've found. Some others flow slightly better, but they are "Cop callers". I love to build sleepers. I always go for "The best bang for the buck " too. Just my opinion. TIMINATOR

Tim have you flowed a 22" Magnaflow oval by any chance? I'm in the market for quiet and that's what I'm considering.

What size ports? What model #? The Magnaflows are all louder than the Dynomax long Super Turbos in my experience. The Dynomax's are made in 2 1/4", 2 1/2" , and 3" in several case lengths, but they are not pretty stainless though. Most Magnaflows are of a glass pack design and the inner tubes are a size smaller than the inlets/ outlets from what has come thru here. If you are local (West Phx,Az.) bring them by and I'll flow it free. TIMINATOR

Stainless lasts a lot longer tho that's why I'm such a fan of the magnaflows. That kit doesn't appear to have stainless tailpipes and why in the world would you bottle neck it down to 2.5?

Thats good that you have an opinion but I posted that for the folks that don't care and are wanting something better than stock. So what cfm did those Dynomax flow @28 a video wld be nice. Magnaflows flow pretty well but there mufflers that flow better.

Over 560 EACH muffler and you are using two of them. Depends upon the length of the inlet and outlet pipes and what kind of entry to the inlet pipe what the actual numbers will be. Most all muffs flow better with at least 18"+ pipe on the inlet and exhaust, and yup, most turndowns help the flow and reduce noise also. Allied stainless HP replacement dual 3" in and out only flows about 350/360 total for both sides at once. That's more than the factory stock dual at 280/ 300 for both sides at once (the best one that I have ever seen) and it sounds better than stock on an 8.1, but is a little loud on a 6.0 or smaller engine. Retail price is about $149.95, we don't recommend them. Both of them have dual inlets but route the flow for both sides thru a single hole (Allied) or tube (factory) inside, and that's the big restriction. The factory muff only uses a single outlet, the other is a resonator chamber with very little flow, so the Allied is better there too. I don't understand the concept of replacing something with something else that's only a small gain, and near the same price as the better one. A single unpolished Magnaflow costs more than two Dynomax 17769 or 17770s and flows less too. Stainless is prettier, especially if polished, (more cost too), but I have never had a Dynomax rust out, they, as are most others, are aluminumized before assembly. Install what pleases you, our shop builds performance, and that's what we do here. My posts reflect that. "Bang for the buck" is what we sell. TIMINATOR

You wdnt but not everyone wants performance some ppl might just want sound so they are a cheap catback with either flowpoopers or magnaflow. I have always used magnaflow and have them installed on my "race car" vroom vroom...lol until i found a similar muffler that out flows them for half the price.
