Today I drove 200 miles and used 13 gallons. Twice. Mods in my tag line.
Only thing that changed is pulled corvette heads/valves. Followed speed limits to sanmarcos and back.

Throughout this thread I see lots of efans. Are they worthwhile for a vehicle that travels usually no more than 10 miles at a time?

Thanks

try mid grade gas on the stock tune. we logged my 02 2500 HD last week and got KR on the stock tune using 87 octane. it pulled my timing back to 12-13*.

Old thread , damn grave diggers lol !

I don't even run 87 in my weed eater , that stuff is ****.

I get 13 around town and maybe 15 hwy in my 2500hd van 6.0/80E.
Def needs a tune , but I also don't drive slow , usually 70-80mph. I always run 89oct.

I am also looking into doing this on my newly acquired 2003 1500HD CCSB. I'm looking for headers and after header pipes, I'm having a hard time finding any for HD trucks. Is there anyone out there that make them specifically for the HDs? Will headers for a 1500 fit? What is everyone doing for after header pipes? My local exhaust shop has stopped doing custom work. So I'm pretty limited to bolt on stuff.

Around town MPG will suffer with anything but stock tires. Unless you regear.

The same goes for towing.
