Default 1998 7.4 vortec performance upgrades

I am saving my money to overhaul my truck I would like to make it the ultimate tow/work truck. Right now it is under powered and slow I would like to put
-heads no bore or stroke needed
-cam whats a good one to run for torque
-square port intake system
-30 lb/hr red top injectors
-four barrel throttle body
-volant intake
-eaton posi
-hooker headers ceramic coated, 3inch to the cats, 3 1/2 cat back true dual dynomax round ultraflo welded and high flow cats
and maybe a supercharger later on down the road
I will also put a leveling kit add a leafs 285/70r17 Bfgoodrich mts and Mamba rims
My truck is a 1998 K2500 L29 454 factory auto
I will need to do a little bit of rust work and some other odds and ends.
This is a work truck and will be used for work just needs more power.

Mayb check on how much all that's gonna run you. Might be easier and cheaper with better mpg and reliability to find low mile 6.0 and swap

trust me a 6.o cant touch that at same compression because of the displacement

those things always need injectors and fpr

get away from bosch injectors , I ran the edelbrock slash gm perf heads on mine

1.8 rockers on a stock cam is a decent upgrade and the proo flo intake will help a bunch the stock intake sucks for performance

headers and true duals

used to have that engine in my 04 silverado before i went to the 496/8.1

I do not want to even mess with a ls based engine when it comes to codes. I do most of the work myself with hel from my brother and friends and we do not have the equipment for them. But I have changed my mind again. I would like to twin turbo it now from seeing what other people are getting for hp and torque.

From what I have found it will cost around 7 grand for heads, fuel system cams, crankshaft, pistons, rods, tranny and turbos with piping. With everything else I would like to do to the truck it would be a total investment of around 12-15k and not having a payment on top of that.

It would be epic to pull up next to a pos ricer or some pile like that and tow them at a red light. Also kick my bosses challengers ***.

Ok so here is my updated thought

-turbonectics ball bearing twins with intercooler and water meth twin gt-k 650 or a single gt-k 1000 oil and water cooled
-3" down pipe to 3.5" down pipe back true duals
-80 lb/hr trick flow injectors
-502 ported ram jet intake
-brodix heads race rite ovals 119cc combustion chamber and 270 intake runner ported polished machined
-ported and polished intake manifold
-arp head studs
comp cams 226in/218ex duration 525 intake and 514 exhaust
-411 pcm with efi live
-still not sure on pistons most likely will convert the tranny mounts to a 4l85e for better build options to handle the power most likely wiseco or manely
-manely rods and a upgraded crank
-It will be bored .010 over and be able to run on 89 and have propane injection.
the goal is 600-700 horse and 900-1100 torque

What kind of gains did you see with the Pro Flo Intake over the stocker? I've had my eye on that intake.

But how many people say they have a truck with a 454 stock. Also everyone that is selling a 6.0 up here is either blown or over 150k+ and most likely rebuilt and abused. I am going to buy a second engine to put all the mods on so I can still use the truck. Then build the stock engine the same way and put it in a 70s c10
