04 CCSB 2500HD 6.0 Need more speed
I just purchased a 2004 CCSB 2500HD 6.0, 4l80,4.10 rear gear.compared to my 2000 Z71 5.3 4l60 this thing is a pooche its bad slow.Truck does have 285/75/16 mud terrain tires which im sure also doesn't help.
It has 30k on a new GM 6.0 recall motor,previous owner has dual 3" exhaust with dual cats and dual 40 series flowmasters,this truck has NO torque.I just installed an AEM cold air intake,and a custom tune which did help,what should I do next ? Im thinking about longtubes cause a friend has some for $100,and making it single 3" not true duals would this help for torque ? For the future maybe a small cam and L92 heads,what you guys think ?

If I do that both 40 series flowmasters will go,i have had a Silverado 2wd with a 6.0 longtubes,3" y-pipe and 3" 50 series out the back with a 600 lift cam and it had a good sound,but definitely don't need it that loud,draws to much attention.

factory lq4 with 317 heads, mines an ecsb. I have the factory true dual 3'' to a magnaflow with a 4'' out and a 5'' tip. It really pisses the diesel guys off cause they think its a duramax but then I can walk most of them by a couple length's. Last weekend I had half a length on a 02 mustang gt (4.6)
